🧀🍅 Asiago Sun-Dried Tomato Bread (Bread Machine Recipe)
🍞 Ingredients (1½–2 lb loaf)
Wet Ingredients

1 cup warm water (or use ½ water + ½ milk for a softer loaf)

2 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp oil from the sun-dried tomato jar (optional but adds flavor)
Dry Ingredients

3 cups bread flour

1 tbsp sugar

1 tsp salt
-
1 tsp garlic powder (optional)

½ tsp dried basil or Italian seasoning

1 cup shredded Asiago cheese
-
⅓ cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes, patted dry
Yeast

2–2¼ tsp active dry yeast or bread machine yeast
🔧 Instructions
1. Add ingredients to bread machine
Add in this order unless your machine specifies otherwise:

Liquids first: water, olive oil, tomato oil

Dry ingredients: flour, sugar, salt, garlic powder, herbs

Cheese: add ½ cup of the Asiago now

Make a small well and add the yeast on top (do not let yeast touch liquid yet)

When your machine signals for add-ins (usually after 20–30 minutes of kneading):

Add the chopped sun-dried tomatoes

Add the remaining ½ cup Asiago cheese
(This prevents the tomatoes from sinking and keeps cheese pieces larger.)
4. Let machine finish
Allow the bread to knead, rise, and bake through the full cycle.
5. Cool
Remove the loaf and let cool at least 20 minutes before slicing.
