🍳 INSTRUCTIONS — LONG EXPLANATION VERSION


1. Prepare the tomatoes

Fresh tomatoes release moisture, so:

  1. Dice tomatoes into small pieces.

  2. Place them on a paper towel.

  3. Pat dry lightly to remove excess liquid.

2. Preheat oven & prepare pan

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with butter or oil.

  • Optional: Line with parchment for easier removal.


3. Mix the dry ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together:

  • Flour

  • Sugar

  • Creole seasoning

  • Parsley

  • Basil

  • Oregano

  • Garlic powder

  • Onion powder

  • Smoked paprika

  • Baking powder

  • Baking soda

  • Salt

4. Mix the wet ingredients

In another bowl, whisk:

  • Eggs

  • Buttermilk

  • Olive oil
